Zendrun
How it works

Two sides, one guarantee

The requester pays into escrow before anything happens. The runner pays at the counter and is reimbursed from that escrow. Every rule on the policies page exists to keep that promise.

Requesting

  1. 1
    Post
Describe the errand. Set a spend ceiling (the most the runner may pay and be reimbursed), a fee, and a deadline. Say if it's hard.
  2. 2
    Fund
Ceiling + tolerance + fee + platform fee are held from your wallet. Nothing goes live unfunded. Unused escrow comes back.
  3. 3
    Check
Instant checks against our refusal list and for anything a stranger couldn't do without calling you; gaps come back as questions before you fund. The check-ins the runner follows come from the task template with your places and amounts. Once funded it's live, and Zendrun staff go through every new errand as it's posted; runners can report one that looks wrong, and anything suspicious is taken down with escrow refunded in full.
  4. 4
    Watch
Check-ins as they go. If the price is higher than the ceiling they ask in-app and you approve or decline before they pay.
  5. 5
    Hand over
Type their 6-digit code into their phone. That's the moment custody ends. Confirm within 24 h or the platform confirms for you.

Running errands

  1. 1
    Verify
Your phone number, your national ID with a liveness selfie (NIN and BVN in Nigeria), and a bank account in your name. That sets how much you can front.
  2. 2
    Accept
Only what your tier lets you front. The app warns if there's less time than the errand usually needs. Start within 30 min.
  3. 3
    Check in
Follow the check-ins written for this errand: arrive, pay, collect, hand over. Each needs its evidence (location, photo, receipt, code) before the next unlocks. They are your proof if anything is disputed.
  4. 4
    Pay & prove
Pay at the counter. Photograph the receipt and the item. Custody starts, with you responsible for the goods until handover.
  5. 5
    Get paid
Reimbursement plus fee land in your wallet at completion, from escrow. If the requester disputes, you're paid first and it's argued afterwards.

Questions people ask

What is Zendrun?
Zendrun is an errand marketplace. You post what you need done, fund it into escrow, and a verified runner does it: queues at an office, pays at a counter, collects a parcel, shops a list, and hands over with a 6-digit code.
Who pays at the counter?
The runner pays with their own money, up to the spend ceiling you set, and is reimbursed from escrow the moment you confirm the handover. Their reimbursement is guaranteed from money that is already held.
How do I know my money is safe?
Nothing goes live until the ceiling, fee and platform fee are held from your wallet. Money moves only when you type the handover code on the runner's phone, in person, with both phones together. Unused escrow comes back.
How are runners verified?
Phone number, national ID with a liveness selfie (NIN and BVN in Nigeria), and a bank account in their own name. Verification sets how much a runner may front and how valuable the goods they may carry can be.
What does it cost?
You pay the runner's fee plus a platform fee shown before you post: the greater of ₦200 or 12% of the fee plus 1.5% of the spend ceiling. There are no fees revealed at checkout.
What if something goes wrong?
Every check-in carries evidence: location, photos, the receipt, the code. Either side can open a dispute within seven days; you have 48 hours to settle it between yourselves, otherwise staff decide within five working days with written reasons.
Can I send something valuable?
Every errand with goods declares what they are worth. Goods up to ₦50,000 go to Verified runners, up to ₦300,000 to Trusted, up to ₦1,000,000 to Pro. Above that nothing can be sent by errand, whatever the fee.
Where does Zendrun work?
Nigeria first: Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Kano and 20 more cities. Runners can only accept errands from inside the city the errand is in.
