Send someone to Computer Village

Computer Village rewards whoever is standing in front of the stall, and punishes whoever is not. Send a verified runner with a ceiling you set, see photos before anything is paid for, and keep the money in escrow until it is in your hands.

They photograph it before they pay, not after
The whole risk at Computer Village is paying for a thing that turns out to be another thing. So the ceiling is yours to set, the receipt and the item are photographed at the stall, and anything above your figure comes back to you as a question with a picture attached — not as a surprise on the bill. If you decline, no money moves.

What people send a runner there for

Otigba and the streets around it, in Ikeja.

  • A phone or laptop priced across several stalls before buying.
  • A specific part — a screen, a battery, a charger — that only two stalls carry.
  • A repair dropped off, chased, and collected.
  • An accessory bought and delivered the same day across Lagos.
  • A device checked over before you commit: IMEI dialled, charging port tested, cameras and biometrics tried.

How the money works, exactly

You set a ceiling — the most the runner may spend — and it is held from your wallet along with their fee and the platform fee before the errand goes live. The runner pays at the stall with their own money, and escrow pays them back the moment you enter the handover code. Whatever they did not spend returns to you.

Asking before paying over your ceiling

If the stall's price is above what you allowed, the runner asks in the app with a photo, and waits. You approve or decline. No approval, no purchase — a runner cannot spend more of your money than you agreed, whatever the stall says.

Questions people ask

Can someone buy a phone for me at Computer Village?
Yes. You set the most they may spend, it is held in escrow with their fee, and they photograph the device and the receipt at the stall. If the price is higher than your ceiling they ask you first.
How do I know they bought the right thing?
Ask for the checks in the errand: the IMEI dialled on screen, the charging port, the cameras, the battery health. Each check-in carries a photo before the next unlocks, so you see the device before the money moves.
Who is responsible if it is damaged on the way to me?
The runner, from the moment they pay until you enter the handover code. Every errand with goods declares what they are worth, and what a runner may carry is capped by their verification tier.
Can they take it to someone outside Lagos?
A runner can only accept an errand inside the city it was posted in. Buying in Lagos and sending onward to another state is two jobs — post the Lagos part here and arrange the carriage separately.

Where this can be run today

Runners are on the ground in Ibadan and Lagos. Everywhere else the board is open and empty, so an errand posted there waits for a first runner.
